Fluid - A/T: Testing and Inspection
To ensure accuracy of transaxle fluid level reading, wait 30 minutes before checking vehicle which has just been driven for a long period of time at
highway speeds or in city traffic during hot weather.
1.
Park vehicle on a level surface and apply parking brake.
2.
Place transaxle in Park position and idle engine for two minutes.
3.
With the brake applied, move shift lever through all gear ranges, then return to Park position.
4.
Remove and touch dipstick to determine fluid temperature. If fluid is cool or warm, level should be between cold notch (marked ``C'') and center
notch; If fluid is hot, level should be between center notch and hot notch (marked ``H''). Add Dexron II fluid as necessary. Do not overfill.
