Throttle Opener/Kicker Control: Adjustments
NOTE: Before starting the engine, place the transmission gear shift lever in NEUTRAL (shift selector lever to PARK for vehicles with A/T), and set the
parking brake and block drive wheels.
PROCEDURE:
Throttle Opener Adjustment
1.
START engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
2.
Connect Scan tool (set to Engine Speed Mode.)
3.
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the throttle opener and plug.
4.
Adjust the engine speed to 2100 - 2300 RPM by turning the throttle opener adjusting screw.
5.
Upon completion of adjustment, reconnect the vacuum hose to the throttle opener securely, and remove the Scan tool.
