Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Throttle Opener Solenoid Vacuum Valve
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the throttle opener solenoid vacuum valve electrical connector.
2.
Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid vacuum valve electrical connector.
3.
Remove the two vacuum hoses going to the VSV valve, and the two vacuum hoses from the EGR VSV valve. Mark the hoses for later installation.
4.
Remove two mounting screws, and remove the EGR VSV valve and Throttle Opener (TO) VSV valve assembly.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install the EGR VSV and TO VSV valve assembly to its mounting bracket, and secure with the two mounting screws.
2.
Install the previously marked vacuum hoses to the EGR VSV and TO VSV valves.
3.
Connect the EGR and Throttle Opener Solenoid Valve electrical connectors.
4.
Connect the negative battery cable.
