Recirculated Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (REGTS): Description and Operation
This sensor is located at the EGR valve and measures the temperature of the gas which was recirculated through the EGR valve. The sensor converts a
change in the exhaust gas temperature into a resistance change. The ECM sends a reference voltage to the sensor, and reads the difference in voltage as
it returns to the ECM. As exhaust gas temperature lowers, resistance increases and as exhaust gas temperature rises, resistance decreases, thus varying
the voltage return to the ECM.
