Wheel Bearing Lock Nut Removal

Wheel Bearing Seal Installation

SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED (or equivalents)

J-37763, Wheel bearing socket.

^

J-37781, Front wheel hub remover.

^

J-37772, Front wheel hub bearing remover.

^

J-37777, Front wheel hub bearing installer.

^

J-37774, Front wheel hub installer.

^

J-2619-02, Slide hammer.

^

J-8092, Driver handle.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel.
2. Locking hub assembly.
3. Brake caliper assembly, then suspend out of way.
4. Brake disc, then the bearing lock plate retaining screws and lock plate.
5. Using J-37763, remove wheel bearing lock nut and washer.
6. Wheel hub assembly. If assembly can not be removed by hand use hub remover J-37781 and slide hammer J-2619-02 or to remove.
