CONDITION
Some owners may experience a condition where 4-wheel drive low mode cannot be engaged or once engaged, may be disengaged because of the
resistance of the transfer case boot.
CAUSE
Some early production vehicles had boots with improperly formulated rubber. This condition will mostly be evident in cold ambients below 32°F (0°C).
CORRECTION
To correct this condition, replace the transfer case boot with P/N 91172266.
