Acadia FWD V6-3.6L (2007)
^
The drain hole must be 25 mm (1 in) above the mount base (1). Apply a piece of 1-inch tape (2) above the mount base. The edge of the tape
must touch the mount base. The tape will serve as the centerline height guide (3).
^
Use a center punch (2) to mark the centerline height for the drain hole.
^
Make a drill bit stop (1). The drill bit stop (1) should leave no more than 8 mm (5/16 in) of the drill bit exposed. Use a piece 1/4 in rubber hose
or equivalent to make the drill bit stop (1).
^
Use a 6 mm (1/4 in) drill bit to drain the drain hole. Ensure the drill bit stop (1) is on the drill bit before drilling the hole.
^
Do NOT exceed the 8 mm (5/16 in) drain hole depth specification.
Important:
Drill the drain hole as close to the 12 o'clock position as possible. Use the 11-1 o'clock position as a reference for the acceptance area for the
drain hole. The front of the vehicle (e.g., engine compartment or front grill) is the 12 o'clock position for the mount.
5.
Create a drain hole for the left transmission mount. Refer to the Mount Preparation Instructions before drilling the drain hole.
6.
Create a drain hole for the right front engine mount. Refer to the Mount Preparation Instructions before drilling the drain hole.
