An improperly aligned flexible pipe section (2) will have a noticeable sag in the flexible pipe section (2). The flanges (1) will also NOT be
level. Refer to the illustration for an example of an improperly installed flexible pipe section (2). If the flexible pipe section (2) is not aligned
properly, proceed to step 2.

Loosen the exhaust flexible pipe to muffler nuts (1).

Align the flexible pipe section of exhaust system. Use the flanges (1) located on the outboard side of the flexible pipe to determine if the flexible
pipe section (2) of the exhaust system is level and aligned properly also, note the position of the flexible pipe section (2). A properly installed
flexible pipe section (2) will NOT have a noticeable sag

Once the flexible pipe section (2) of the exhaust system is properly aligned, install and tighten the flexible pipe-to-muffler nuts (1).
Tighten
Tighten the flexible pipe-to muffler nuts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
12.
Lower the vehicle.
