Bulletin No.: 07-08-49-009
Date: June 19, 2007
TECHNICAL
Subject:
Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Service Tire Pressure Monitor Warning Message Displayed (Reprogram IPC)
Models:
2007 GMC Acadia
2007 Saturn OUTLOOK
Condition
Some customers may comment that the Driver Information Center (DIC) displays a "Service Tire Monitor System" message if they inadvertently press
the tire relearn on the DIC.
Correction
After the IPC is reprogrammed, the "Press To Learn Tire Positions" and "Relearn Tire Positions" options will no longer be available in the DIC. The
tires cannot be relearned through the DIC. The tires can still be relearned through the manual process. Refer to the procedure in the Owner's Manual, SI
Document ID # 1827862.
If an IPC is replaced for any service procedure, this feature will no longer be available.
A revised calibration has been developed to address these conditions. Technicians are to reprogram the IPC using SPS with the latest software available
on TIS2WEB. Refer to the Service Programming System procedures in SI. As always, make sure your Tech 2(R) is updated with the latest software
version.
