Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid: Service and Repair
Valve Body Bolt Locations
Remove or Disconnect:
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
3. Transmission oil pan.
4. Transmission oil filter and O-ring seal.
5. Electrical Connections from switches.
6. Solenoid bolts (51) and solenoid assembly (50) with O-ring seal and wiring harness.
Clean and Inspect:
1. Gasket material from oil pan and case.
2. TCC passage and solenoid.
Install or Connect:
1. O-ring seal on the solenoid assembly (50).
2. Solenoid bolts (51) and solenoid assembly (50) with O-ring seal and wiring harness.
3. Attach with two solenoid bolt and torque bolts (51) to 11 Nm (98 in lbs).
4. Electrical Connections onto switches.
5. Transmission oil pan, tighten bolts to 11 Nm (97 in lbs)
6. Transmission oil filter and O-ring seal.
7. Fill with DEXRON-IIE automatic transmission fluid.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Connect negative battery cable.
