Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Technical Service Bulletins
Fuel Injector - Wires Trapped Installing Air Cleaner

BULLETIN NUMBER: 93-6D-44

SECTION: 6D

NUMBER: 2

CORPORATE
REFERENCE NUMBER: 266402

DATE: February 1993

SUBJECT:
FUEL INJECTOR WIRES MAY BECOME TRAPPED WHEN REINSTALLING THE AIR CLEANER

MODELS:
1988-93 C/K TRUCKS

CONDITION
When an air cleaner is removed on 1988-93 C/K trucks, the potential for trapping the injector wires between the air cleaner and extension ring or
between the extension ring and throttle body is present during reinstallation.

CORRECTION

To reduce the possibility of such an occurrence, especially if the reason for removing the air cleaner is a pinched wire, the injector wires should be
removed, twisted once and then reconnected.

One twist will reduce the slack in the injector wires so that there is less chance of them being trapped between the mating surfaces during assembly.
