Condition
Some owners may comment that a high effort is required to close either front door.
Cause
This condition may be caused by any of the following conditions:

The seal gaps between the body and the door sheet metal may be out of specification.

The door striker is adjusted improperly.
^
The body seals may not have a tolerance to the sheet metal.
Correction
Adjust the door striker. Some vehicles may be corrected by adjusting the door striker only, if not replace the door weatherstrips using the part numbers
listed below. Use the following procedure in order to improve the door closing effort. Refer to the Doors subsection of the Silverado and Sierra Service
Manual.
