Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Front
REMOVAL
1. Remove the upper shroud.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Support the vehicle with safety stands.
CAUTION: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or the crankshaft pulley.
Due to the small clearance between the oil pan and the oil pump screen, jacking against the oil pan may cause the pan to be bent against the pump
screen. This will result in a damaged oil pickup unit.
4. Remove the front engine mount through-bolts on both sides.
5. Raise the engine and the block into position.
6. Remove the lower control arm at the pivot point. Refer to Steering and Suspension.
7. Remove the front engine mount to frame bolts.
8. Remove the front engine mount.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the front engine mount to the frame.
2. Install the front engine mount to the frame with nuts and bolts.

Tighten the nuts to 48 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the engine.
4. Install the front engine mount through-bolts.

Tighten the through-bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) or the nuts to 70 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the lower control arm. Refer to Steering and Suspension.
6. Install the upper fan shroud.
