C 1500 Yukon 2WD V8-4.8L VIN V (2000)
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Remove the master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement.
3. Drain the master cylinder reservoir.
4. Clamp the master cylinder to a bench vice.
5. Using a hammer and a drift punch remove the roll pins securing the reservoir to the master cylinder. Discard the roll pins.
6. Firmly grasp the reservoir. Pull the reservoir upward in order to disengage the reservoir from the master cylinder.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the master cylinder reservoir to the master cylinder by pushing the reservoir into the master cylinder bores. Apply pressure until the master
cylinder reservoir snaps into place.
