Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair
Removal:

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector and hoses from the solenoid.
-
Remove the solenoid from the mounting bracket by pulling away from the bracket.
Installation:
-
Slide the solenoid into the bracket.
-
Connect the electrical connector and hoses to the solenoid.
-
Connect the negative battery terminal.
-
Check to insure proper operation of the solenoid valve.
