3. Install the exhaust manifold bolt and nuts.

Tighten the exhaust manifold bolt to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands.
5. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
6. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and nuts.

Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts/nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Position the EGR pipe.
9. Install a NEW EGR pipe gasket.
10. Install the EGR pipe bracket bolt.

Tighten the EGR pipe bracket bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
11. Install the EGR pipe nuts to the exhaust manifold.

Tighten the EGR pipe nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
12. Install the spark plugs.
