Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Replacement

J39084 Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installer

Removal Procedure 

Notice:  When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or the crankshaft pulley. Due to
the small clearance between the oil pan and the oil pump screen, jacking against the oil pan may cause the pan to be bent against the pump screen.
This will result in a damaged oil pickup unit.

1. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the flywheel from the crankshaft. 

3. Remove the crankshaft rear oil sea[ from the crankshaft.

Installation Procedure 

1. Use the J39084 to install the crankshaft rear oil seal to the crankshaft.
2. Install the flywheel to the crankshaft. 
3. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
