Air Door Cable: Service and Repair

TEMPERATURE CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) bezel.
2. Remove the radio.
3. Remove the heater control assembly (1).

4. Disconnect the temperature control cable (1) from the HVAC module.
5. Disconnect the temperature control cable (1) from the heater control assembly (3).
6. Remove the temperature control cable from the IP carrier.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT:  Verify the following conditions before performing the installation procedure:
-

Ensure that the center and RH control dials are fully rotated counter-clockwise.

-

Ensure that the heater module large door is open.

-

Ensure that the heater module small door is closed.
