Radiator Hose: Service and Repair
Inlet
RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - INLET (L-65)
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Important: Most C/K models use a spring - type clamp at the radiator hose connections. When using this type of clamp, install radiator hoses on dry,
non - painted surfaces in order to ensure proper sealing. Reusing the spring - type clamps on aftermarket hoses is not recommended.
2. Remove the clamps.
3. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
4. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing water outlet.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the radiator radiator inlet hose to the thermostat housing water outlet.
2. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
3. Refill the coolant in the cooling system.
4. Start the engine. After the engine reaches normal operating temperature, inspect for coolant leaks.
