Starter Motor: Service and Repair
STARTER MOTOR REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the batteries negative cable.
2. Raise the vehicle and support with suitable safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Disconnect the battery positive cable and the wiring harness from the starter.
4. Remove the starter mounting bolts and washers.
5. Remove the bracket nut and washer.
6. Remove the starter. A starter shield bolts to the engine.
