C 3500 Truck 2WD V8-6.0L VIN U (2001)
1. Install the right fuel rail cover.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Tighten the right fuel rail cover bolts.

Tighten the fuel rail cover bolts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.)
3. Install the surge tank/heater hoses to the clip on the right fuel rail cover.
4. Install the left fuel rail cover.
5. Tighten the left fuel rail cover bolts.
^
Tighten the fuel rail cover bolts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.)
6. Install the engine sight shield retainer and the bolts, if required.

Tighten the engine sight shield retainer bolts to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
Notice: Use care when installing the engine sight shield to avoid contacting the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor wire harness connector.
Loss of engine performance or engine damage may result.
