2002 and Prior Light Duty Trucks with Spare Tire Stored Under Vehicle
Spare tires stored under the vehicle are lowered and raised using a vehicle mounted hoist. Operating the hoist at high speed can cause the hoist cable to
bind which could make the hoist inoperative. The use of air tools to lower or raise the hoist results in high operating speeds.
Important:
The hoist should be only lowered and raised by hand using the tools supplied with the vehicle. DO NOT USE AIR TOOLS TO OPERATE THE
HOIST.
