7. Remove the bolts/nuts from the right exhaust manifold.
8. Remove the exhaust manifold.
9. Remove the bolt for the oil level indicator tube bracket in order to remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
10. Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket.
11. Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the exhaust manifold gasket to the cylinder head.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the bolt for the oil level indicator tube bracket.

Tighten the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the exhaust manifold.
4. Install the exhaust manifold bolts/nuts.
Right Exhaust Manifold Tightening Sequence
5. Use the sequence shown, properly tighten the exhaust manifold bolts.
5.1.
Tighten the exhaust manifold Bolt/Nuts a first pass to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
5.2.
Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts/nuts a final pass to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
