C 3500 Truck 2WD V8-6.6L DSL Turbo VIN 1 (2002)
1. Install the discharge hose to the vehicle.
2. Connect the A/C recirculation switch to the discharge hose.
3. Connect the discharge hose to the condenser using new sealing washers.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the NEW compressor discharge nut to the condenser.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
5. Install the upper baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors (Side) or Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors (Upper)
in Cooling System.
6. Connect the discharge hose (5) to the compressor using new sealing washers.
7. Install the NEW discharge hose mounting bolt (2).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
8. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
9. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A.
