Oil Filter: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the oil filter from the engine block.
4. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil into a suitable container.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the NEW oil filter to the engine block.

Tighten the oil filter to the oil filter manufacturers specifications listed on the oil filter box.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the oil pan drain plug to the oil pan.

Tighten the oil pan drain plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Fill the crankcase with oil.
5. Close the hood.
