C Yukon 2WD V8-5.7L VIN R (1999)
1. Install the relay rod (10) to the idler arm ball stud.
2. Install the relay rod to the Pitman arm ball stud.
2.1. Make sure the seal is on the stud.
2.2. Install the J24319-01 or the J29194 to the ball stud.
2.3. Tighten the steering linkage installer to 62 Nm (46 ft. lbs.) in order to seat the tapers.
2.4. Remove the J24319-01 or the J29194.
3. Install the new idler arm prevailing torque nut.

Tighten the nuts to 62 Nm (46 ft. lbs.).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the new Pitman arm prevailing torque nut.
5. Install the tie rod inner ball joints to the relay rod.
6. Install the steering shock absorber to the relay rod, if equipped.
