Important: Every 7th link of the timing chain is darkened to aid in aligning the timing marks.
5. Align the marked links (1) on the timing chain with the timing marks on the following:

The exhaust camshaft position actuator sprocket
*
The intake camshaft sprocket
*
The crankshaft sprocket
6. Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement (See: Timing Cover/Service and Repair).
7. Install the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair).
