Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Replacement - Fuel Tank

Removal Procedure
Caution:  Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Pipe Caution  (See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Fuel and Evaporative
Emission Pipe Caution) .
Caution:  Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution  (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel/Service Precautions/Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors
Caution) .

Notice:  Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings) .

1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement  (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Tank/Service and Repair) .
2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) line (1) quick connect fittings from the module and the vent valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick

Connect Fitting Service  (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
) .

3. Remove the EVAP line from the clip on the side of the fuel tank.
4. Disengage the EVAP line from the retaining features molded into the fuel tank and remove the EVAP line.
