Loose Module/Broken Tab Under Passenger Seat (Re-attach Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System (PPS) module with Two-Way Tape)

Condition
Some customers may comment on something dangling under the passenger seat or finding broken plastic tabs under the passenger seat.
Cause
This may be caused by the inflatable restraint passenger presence System (PPS) module not secure under the passenger seat.
Correction
Technicians are to re-attach the inflatable restraint passenger presence System (PPS) module under the passenger seat with *3M 2-way tape.
DO NOT replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence System (PPS) module.
Detach the passenger side seat bolts from the floor pan.
Turn the seat as shown in the figure above.
Disconnect the wire harness assembly from the inflatable restraint passenger presence System (PPS) module connector.
Inspect the inflatable restraint passenger presence System (PPS) module mounting tabs.
DO NOT place the inflatable restraint passenger presence System (PPS) module in a vice.
Using a pair of side cutters cut off the unbroken tab(s).
Clean the area under the seat pan and the back of the inflatable restraint passenger presence System (PPS) module using glass cleaner. Wipe the area dry
with a clean towel.
