Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

FUEL FILLER HOSE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Partially drain the fuel tank below the level of the fuel fill tube. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining Procedure.
2. Raise and support the vehicle, high enough to access the fuel filler hose through the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the left pickup box wheelhouse liner.

4. Remove the bolt (3) securing the fuel filler hose ground strap to the frame (2).

5. Disconnect the fuel filler hose (4) from the fuel tank (3).
6. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) hose (2) from the filler vent tube (1).

7. Remove the fuel filler hose screws.
8. Remove the fuel filler hose from the vehicle.
9. Cap the open end of the fuel tank.
