Power Steering Gear Replacement (Colorado/Canyon)
Removal Procedure
1.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2.
Remove both of the front tire and wheel assemblies.
3.
Remove the engine protection shield if equipped.
4.
Disconnect the outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
5.
Place a drain pan to catch the fluid.
6.
Disconnect the power steering hose assembly from the steering gear.
7.
Remove the coupler clamp bolt from the intermediate shaft.
8.
Separate the intermediate shaft from the steering gear.
