GMC Workshop Service and Repair Manuals

1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the heater outlet hose fitting threads.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

2. Install the heater outlet hose fitting. Tighten the heater outlet hose fitting to 45 Nm (33 lb ft).
3. Install the heater hose outlet to the heater pipe inlet.
4. Using the J 38185   , reposition the heater hose outlet clamp to the heater pipe inlet.
5. Install the exhaust heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement (LLV)   ()Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement (LLR)

6. Fill the engine cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)   (See: Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and

Filling (Vac N Fill)   (See: Service and Repair).
