with HYDRA-MATIC 4L60-E Transmission (RPO M3O)
Transmissions built between January 5, 1998 and April 6, 1998 (Julian dates 005 through 096) were built with one of two styles of extension assemblies,
with different bushings.
The bushings are not interchangeable.
For replacement of the extension bushing, remove the extension assembly and inspect the interior for the presence of three internal ribs. (Figure 1)
