Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Service and Repair
Inspection
The crankcase ventilation system should be checked every 30,000 miles and also during regular engine tune-ups. If the crankcase ventilation system
includes a breather filter, located in the air cleaner housing, this filter should be replaced whenever the crankcase ventilation valve or air cleaner is
replaced. When a periodic inspection indicates the crankcase ventilation is not functioning properly, it should be serviced by replacement only.
