Transmission Controls and Valve Body
Control Valve Assembly
Remove or Disconnect:
1. Raise vehicle
2. Lower the transmission as needed for clearance
3. Remove the oil pan and filter
4. Disconnect wire harness assembly from six hook ups
5. Twenty on 10 mm bolts from valve body assembly, manual detent spring, and roller assembly
6. Six 8 mm bolts from pressure manifold assembly, ensure five O-rings are attached to pressure manifold assembly.
7. Three wiring clips, fluid level indicator stop, one 10 mm bolt, lube pipe, lube pipe retainer and clamp.
8. Control valve assembly including the accumulator housing assembly, valve body gaskets, spacer plate and accumulator gasket. Ensure no
gasket material is left on case surface.
9. Eight check balls from case passages
10. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) solenoid screen
Note: The use of a honing stone, fine sandpaper, or crocus cloth is not recommended for servicing stuck valves. all valve lands have sharply
machined corners that are necessary to cleaning the bore. If these corners are rounded, foreign material could wedge between the valve and the
bore causing the valve to stick. If it is found necessary to clean a valve, micro fine lapping compound 900 grit or finer should be used.
