All 1982 and 1983 model year transmissions were assembled with oil pans that do not have a continuous raised rib (refer to Figure No. 3). When
servicing this type oil pan, gasket P/N 8642360 must be used. All overhaul packages have been revised to include both gaskets.
Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for oil pan removal and installation procedures, in addition to the correct bolt torque specifications.
