Push Rod: Service and Repair
Push Rod Replacement - Installation
1. Install the pushrod. Make sure the pushrod seats properly in the valve lifter.
NOTE: When new valve rocker arms and/or balls are installed, coat their bearing surfaces with high viscosity oil with zinc. Use GM P/N
1052367 or the equivalent.
2. Install the valve rocker arm with the ball.
3. Install the valve rocker arm nut.
4. Adjust the valves.
5. Install the valve rocker arm cover.
