The under hood reel lamp, formerly standard equipment on 1996 and older C/K Models, has been discontinued for 1997 C/K Models.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
The reel lamp should be mounted on the right hand side front of dash using the 2 self tapping screws. Refer to the 1996 C/K Truck Service Manual,
Section 8A, schematics and component location views, for wiring harness connection and routing information.
