Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the cylinder head and the gasket from the engine.
3. Remove the valve lifter(s) and the guide(s) from the engine.
4. Clean and inspect all parts.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the valve lifter(s) and the guide(s) to the engine.
NOTICE: Make sure that the correct cylinder head gasket is used when re-assembling the engine. Failure to use the correct gasket may result in
loss of engine performance or engine damage.
2. Install the cylinder head(s) to the engine.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
