K 1500 Truck 4WD V8-4.8L VIN V (1999)
6. Ensure the seal is on the stud.
7. Install the J 29193 or the J 29194.

Tighten the J 29193 or the J 29194 to 62 Nm (46 ft. lbs.) in order to seat the tapers.
8. Remove the J 29193 or the J 29194.
9. Install the new relay rod prevailing torque nut (8).

Tighten the new prevailing torque nut to 62 Nm (46 ft. lbs.).
10. Install the differential carrier shield.
11. Remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle.
12. Adjust the front toe. Refer to Alignment.
