SERVICE PROCEDURE
A.
MAKING CLEARANCE CUT-OUT IN SPLASH SHIELD
1.
A template can be made for the cut-out using the dimensions shown in Figures 2 & 3.
2.
Using the template, mark the cut-out area on the splash shield on both the left and right sides of the vehicle. The location of the cut-outs is
shown in Figure 1.
3.
The splash shield is made of rubber and the cut-out can be made using heavy duty shears, saber saw, or other appropriate cutting tool.
B.
BRAKE HOSE REMOVAL AND BRAKE BLEEDING
1.
If vehicle is equipped with power brakes, deplete the vacuum reserve by applying the brakes several times with the engine off.
