6. Remove the flange stud nuts (2) at the junction of the rear exhaust system and the catalytic convertor.
7. Remove the catalytic convertor.
8. Transfer the oxygen sensors if the catalytic converter is to be replaced. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Replacement - Bank 2 or Heated
Oxygen Sensor (H02S) Replacement in Powertrain Management.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the exhaust seals to the exhaust manifolds.
2. Install the catalytic convertor.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the left side exhaust manifold stud nuts.
Tighten the nuts to 50 Nm (39 ft. lbs.).
