13. Install the adjuster plug lock nut (5) to the adjuster plug (4)Finger tighten the adjuster plug lock nut (5) while holding the adjuster plug (4)
stationary.

J 6222-A Shaft Seal Protector

J 43435 Adjuster Lock Nut Wrench
1. Rotate the stub shaft back and forth in order to drain the power steering fluid.
2. Remove the coupling shield retainer and the lock nut from the steering gear housing using J43435 and a torque wrench.
3. Remove the adjuster nut assembly (2) from the steering gear housing (1) using J 42832
