2. Detent lever and actuator assembly.
3. Bolts and parking pawl bracket.
4. Spring and parking pawl return spring plug.
5. Plug using the modified screw extractor.
6. Parking pawl shaft retainer, shaft, and pawl.
7. Seal and manual shaft.
8. Vehicle speed sensor and bracket assemblies.

Inspect

1. Parking pawl for:

-

Cracks.

-

Burrs.

-

Damage.

2. Parking pawl shaft for:

-

Damage.

-

Freeness of fit.

3. Parking pawl return spring for:

-

Distortion.

-

Damage.

4. Detent lever and actuator for:

-

Cracks.

-

Damage.

5. Manual shaft for:

-

Damaged flats or threads.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Pawl shaft.
2. Parking paw.
3. Plug with Loctite(R) or equivalent.
4. Retainer.
5. Stud return spring.
6. Pawl return spring.
7. Detent lever to the actuator assembly.
8. Actuator assembly over the parking pawl.
9. Seal and the manual shaft.

10. Nut on the shaft.
11. Roll pin.
12. Parking lock bracket with the two bolts.

Tighten bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
