K 1500 Truck 4WD V8-6.5L DSL Turbo VIN S (1999)
2. Connect the heater cord to the block heater.
3. Route the heater cord along the heater hose.
4. On the 7.4L gas engine install the washer to the shock bracket.
5. Install the cord clip and the bolt retaining the cord to the bracket.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolt retaining the engine coolant heater cord bracket to the engine to 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.).
6. On the 6.5L diesel and the 5.0L/5.7L gas engines, install the cord clip.
7. Install the washers and nuts at both the shock lower bracket and frame member.
8. Install the bolt retaining the cord clip to the bracket.

Tighten the cord clip retaining bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
