Oil Filter: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the oil filter from the engine block (4 wheel drive shown).
3. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: When serving a four wheel drive model equipped with a 6.5L turbocharger diesel engine, retighten the oil filter adapter bolt to 65
Nm (47 ft. lbs.)after installing a new oil filter.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the oil filter to the engine block (4 wheel drive shown).

Tighten the oil filter to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
