K 1500 Yukon 4WD V8-5.3L VIN T (2000)
1. Center punch each bolt location on the pillar according to the service hinge.
Repair any damage done to the pillar during the drilling or the removal.
2. Position the service hinge within the scribe marks on the pillar.
3. Drill a 3 mm (1/8 in) pilot hole at each punch location.
4. Drill a 13 mm (1/2 in) hole at the pilot locations.
5. Clean and prepare all bare metal surfaces.
Important: Prior to refinishing, refer to GM 4901MD-99 Refinish Manual for recommended products. Do not combine paint systems.
Refer to paint manufacturer's recommendations.
6. Apply an approved anti-corrosion primer.
7. Apply full-body caulk to the entire hinge mounting surface.
