Exhaust Pipe/Muffler Hanger: Service and Repair
Exhaust Hanger Mounting Bracket Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe.
2. Remove the catalytic converter.
3. If equipped with the 6.0L engine, and Regular Production Option (RPO) MT1, remove the exhaust pipe hanger bracket bolts.
4. If equipped with the 6.0L, or 8.1L engines, and RPO's MT-I and C5F/C6P, remove the exhaust pipe hanger bracket bolts.
5. If equipped with the 6.0L or 8.1L engines, and RPO's MW3 and C61P, remove the transmission bolts.
