Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal and Housing Replacement (Housing)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the transmission assembly and the flywheel. Refer to Transmission Replacement or Transmission Replacement or Transmission

Replacement in Transmission and Drivetrain.

2. Remove the following fasteners from the oil seal housing:

-

Three bolts using a T27 TORX wrench and one nut.

-

Two lower studs using an E7 TORX. If necessary.

-

Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal housing. Refer to Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal and Housing Installation.

3. Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal housing gasket and discard.
4. Clean all the sealing surfaces.
5. Inspect the crankshaft rear oil seal housing housing for warping, cracks, wear, or damage.
