K 2500 Truck 4WD V8-305 5.0L VIN M SFI (1998)
2. Install the following parts:
2.1.
A new oil filter neck seal assembly
2.2.
A new oil filter assembly
3. Install the following parts:
3.1.
A new transmission oil pan gasket
3.2.
The magnet into the oil pan
3.3.
The oil pan
3.4.
The oil pan retainer bolts
^ Tighten the bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Add new automatic transmission fluid. Refer to Fluid Capacity and to Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure.
6. Check the oil pan sea] for leaks.
